The Sydney 2000 Summer GamesThe use of temporary seating grandstands was an essential element in the success of Sydney 2000. In the Darling Harbour Exhibition Halls, Convention Centre and the Aquatic Centre at Sydney Olympic Park, SSL built 30,000 seats in seven venues for eight sporting disciplines, all of which gave the appearance of permanent installations. Large unobstructed areas were created under grandstands, via the use
of truss beams to accommodate public thoroughfares, First Aid, Administration
Offices etc. Click here to see more examples of past projects in the Clients section |
