Commonwealth Games 2002

SSL supplied approximately 24,000 seats at the XVII Manchester Commonwealth Games 2002 for 11 Sporting disciplines. The project entailed Design, Manufacture, Transportation, Installation and Removal together with Turnkey Management.

SSL also installed Grandstands over the Diving pool within a 31 hour time frame, while the water stayed in the pool area and the diving boards remained in situ. The Grandstand comprised of 450mm rise with a 31° viewing angle to achieve “the finish” sight lines.
